NewsMail is a unique product that provides unlimited web-access to over 150 different news wires and access to an archive of 300,000 + news items when you search the newsroom.co.nz website.

When you log into NewsMail you control the news categories you receive via email. This ensures you keep up-to-date with the latest breaking news stories on your subject categories within minutes of NewsRoom receiving this content. You choose how you want to be informed of breaking news. You can have content sent to your nominated email address, or directly browse the NewsRoom website through your unique username and password.

The NewsRoom website has been created for news readers. We do not clutter our pages with advertising or frustrate users with slow downloadable graphics, but focus on providing what our customers want fast: the NEWS!!!

Over 2500 newsmakers currently send NewsRoom press releases, which are published in "real time" and made immediately available to customers. In depth stories are also provided from our office in the Parliamentary press gallery, providing political news as it happens.

NewsRoom through our reputation is constantly adding to our database of news suppliers. Newsmakers send their press releases to NewsRoom because they know NewsRoom will publish it quickly and in the format they provide it; complete and unedited. The client gets the full story "from the horses mouth" and can decide what is important rather than media editors making that decision.

We have dedicated journalists whose job it is to ensure we get the news out fast.

Mainstream media get the majority of their news from press releases, which is edited and then sub-edited. This takes time and does not always provide you with the complete story. NewsRoom receives this information via electronic mail, and publishes it in raw form. Staff reporters ensure the service is up-to-date, and we also provide media monitor summaries to let you know what mainstream media are saying.

NewsRoom subscribers can see the news unfold as journalists do in mainstream media newsrooms, but journalists are not dictating what you can see and can't see. You can customise mailing profiles to fit your needs and have the material emailed directly to you. You also get to see what the mainstream media decided not to publish.

*Legitimate email address. Due to the value of the content available on Newsroom, we only provide trial access to customers we believe have a genuine interest in evaluating NewsMail. Unfortunately we have had too many instances where individuals representing PR firms and other news media organisations subscribe multiple times using a new email address every 7 days. NewsRoom reserves the right to refuse access to subscribers that we believe are not legitimate requests. NewsRoom also reserves the right to suspend free access during periods of high interest, like the budget or General election.

We offer a corporate version of NewsMail to clients via an XML feed directly onto their company intranet. Our intranet product was developed in response to demand from large organizations needing a content relating to their specific industry.

Our news feeds currently serve New Zealand's top legal and accounting firms, large corporations, government departments, and all parliamentary offices. Intranet solutions become cost effective when between 15 - 20 employees within your organization subscribe to the NewsMail service.
