As part of a series about life in the South Island, watch dogs enjoy a one-off dogs-only swim in Christchurch's Waltham Pool

It's a four-legged frenzy which unleashes sheer doggy delight.

As Christchurch's Waltham Pool prepares to empty for the winter, it invites its canine community in for a one-off event - a pooch-only plunge. 

(No dogs were harmed in the making of this video, only soccer balls.)
