An earthquake in hospital: could you keep your cool?

Latest earthquake research from the University of Auckland looks at how well people respond in a shaky emergency.

Based at Auckland City Hospital, the research uses a virtual reality simulation to test how people react in a quake.

So far, more than 200 people have been through the simulation, which is set at the hospital.

Newsroom's Teuila Fuatai went along to have her own mettle tested. (View her simulation experience in the video player above.)

We created LockerRoom to fill a gap in sports journalism, sharing inspirational, compelling and important stories that would otherwise go untold.
