Up and down the country businesses are finding ways to mark Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.
From changing email greetings and sign-offs, te reo social media campaigns, through to internal language lessons - corporate efforts to acknowledge Māori Language Week have progressed markedly since it started in 1975.
This year Vodafone New Zealand decided to step up its efforts creating an original waiata through its diversity and inclusion programme.
Newsroom’s James Elliott was invited to the company's head office to meet members of Vodafone's kapa haka group and get a sneak peak of their waiata “Te Pa Harakeke” before they debuted it in front of the rest of the company.
